This is not goodbye.. Its see you later

 I wasn't sure what to expect when I signed up for this class, but I am happy. I knew the basic knowledge of social media platforms before this class, and I have used Linkedin quite a bit lately because of being out of work. These 8 weeks have taught me how to create a blog, record a podcast, and create RSS feeds for my blog. I am excited to take my knowledge from this class and use it in my next career. 

My goal moving forward is to create another blog that I can use in my events and marketing field. I enjoyed blogging and sharing my brand with my classmates and finding other blogs that were similar to mine that I could follow and keep up with.

It was a requirement for me to set up and have a LinkedIn account at my last two jobs. When I set them up, I honestly was not sure what I was doing, but after some time, I got its hang. On a personal level, I use Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. LinkedIn has become a great source for me to connect and job search since I am currently laid off because of Covid. My personal Facebook and LinkedIn do have a professional feel to them, with the connections and people I follow. I tend to want to connect with as many people as I can in the Tourism field. Most of them are people with like-minded ideas and jobs.  I relate to several organizations and will help my brand grow are the local Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitor Bureau, and Destination Marketing Organizations. These organizations can be a great help in growing my Virtual Travel Planner business because they will have inside information about each destination, connections for local business, and great resources.

Going Out The Door Vlog on Youtube

 For this week's post, I chose to use a friend of mines travel blog. She started a vlog several years ago when she decided to leave the tourism industry. Her name is Angie and her vlog mainly focuses on Branson, Mo, and Disney. The travel blog/vlog that I envision creating is one that caters to people that travel all over the US and into Europe. I do not want to limit it to a specific area.  What I enjoy about Going Out Th Door Vlog is that she is very relatable to the customer and gives great advice on these two specific locations.
